Who are LILA?
LISA
I began singing in 1985 when I defiantly joined the “all boys” choir at the local church in Essex.I continued to hone my skills as a vocalist throughout my 20’s and 30’s in various bands such as ‘Cosmic Wibble’, ‘The Present’, ‘LILA J’ and now with Gavin and Tabby in ‘LILA’. Having picked up a guitar for the first time at the age of 25, I have been working on my own material ever since. ‘LILA’ is the culmination of these years and my quirky, creative nature is reflected in our songs.

As far back as I can remember, I loved listening to music, so much so, I learned to play various instruments around the age of 15. I played with the infamous punk band ‘Foreheads in a Fishtank’ in my twenties, recording 3 albums and 2 Peel sessions. Since then, after re-discovering the importance of playing for fun, it has been a pleasure to find myself doing exactly that in ‘LILA J’ and in ‘LILA’. For the first time in years I enjoy writing songs and playing them live, I have my old friend Lisa to thank for that. I’ve decided to devote the rest of my life to pursuing the perfect riff.
TABBY
I was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona . I did my growing up in Austin, Texas. My home is the Forest of Dean. I spent most of my life singing in choirs, and a slightly smaller portion of my life singing and playing drums in various bands. I’m super stoked to now be playing with [the rag tag group of lovely weirdos] LILA but I don’t like writing bios so…yeah. X
